In this paper, we regarded the Songnen Plain as our study area, based on land use and land change data of four periods(1980, 1995, 2000 and 2010), the type of land use and cover was divided into farmland, woodland and grassland, water, residential land, unused land and wetland. We analyzed the spatial difference on the LUCC of Songnen Plain, including the process of natural zoning change and its driving factors.As the Songnen Plain is endowed with both the severity of the significance on agricultural production value, social value and ecological value, doing research on the LUCC of Songnen Plain has very important value. The specific research contents and conclusions are as follows:The type of Land use in Songnen Plain was divided into 7 categories, which is the largest area of arable land, secondly was woodland, grassland and residential land. Arable land continued to increase; forest first decreased and then increased; the grass has been reduced; the water area was reduced; the continued expansion of settlements; wetland was shrinking in the state; the fluctuation of land area was large and unstable.Cultivated land, grassland, residential area change was mainly reflected in the third natural areas; the change of forest land was mainly manifested in fourth natural areas; water area changes occurred mainly in the fifth natural area; wetland was mainly manifested in the first natural area.The degree of land use and the dynamic degree of land use index showed: the time interval of cultivated land growth rate first decreased and then increased; the growth rate of the residents had been increasing; the speed of grassland reduced was increased first and then decreased; the woodland area decreased first and then increased, woodland increased rate increased year by year; the reducing speed of marsh wetland was so fast in the later 10 years; the reducing speed of water was accelerated year by year. The speed of land change was increasing among 30 years in Songnen plain; the trend of change speed was from the west of Songnen plain to the East area. The transfer matrix showed that the grassland, wetland, water and woodland contributed the most to arable land; the grassland, cultivated land, water area and wetland had the greatest contribution to Unused land increased, Thus, degradation of grassland, wetland, the shrinking water area and the increasing of Saline alkali soil and sand was reflected the trend of acceleration of regional urbanization and the deterioration of the ecological environment. The evolution characteristic of landscape pattern is shown in plate level out.Through principal component analysis of SPSS and GWR model to reveal the driving factors of LUCC of Songnen Plains.The driving factor of cultivated land changing is mainly the population growth, rainfall and agricultural development.The driving factor of the grass reduceing is population growth,industrial structure change and agricultural production,etc.The driving factor of increasing residents is population increasing and urbanization development.The drving factors of wetland changing are precipition,population increasing and the development of agriculture.Forest change drving factor is mainly changeing of the industrial structure and agricultural developing;The waters driving forces of change are mainly precipitation and the second industry output value;Unused change is not obvious.
