The reconstruction is the key step in holography. In this paper, the FPGA technology is applied to accelerate the computation speed of reconstruction of hologram, which is based on digital holography. The main purpose of the research is to achieve the reconstruction of holographic calculation and zoom calculation on the FPGA chip developed by Altera and develop a simple holography reconstruction system. What’s more, the Quartus Ⅱ 12.0 & ModelSim-Altera 10.0d are both applied in the construction and stimulation and cooperating with the Matlab for calculation proof.This research can divided into four main parts:the data input, the holographic reconstruction calculation, the holographic zoom and VGA. The data input part focus on reading hologram, which stored in the Micro SD Card as JPEG file and then input the data into the system, under the SPI drive mode. In order to decrease the percentage of physical occupancy and optimize the speed, the holographic reconstruction and the holographic zoom parts focus on modularizing the holographic zoom arithmetic and the Fresnel calculation algorithm step by step. VGA part can produce certain simulation signals by taking advantage of FPGA chip.Finally, the research has been tested and the experimental results mach with the Matlab simulation experiment so the results prove the correctness of this way.
