Mineral Resources play an important role in the development of society, at the same time, the natural and social problems caused by mining subsidence are increasingly significant. Mining subsidence has induced serious environmental problems, such as a building collapse, road subsidence, suspension railroad rails, water loss and mine flooded, which not only places people and public facilities in danger, but also greatly reduces the land resources available, most importantly threatens the ecological environment. With the development of computer technology, the numerical simulation method is increasingly widely used in mining subsidence prediction. According to an in-depth study on mining subsidence and the current application of numerical simulation, GeoMS3D developed by the Group, ANSYS and FLAC3D, each of which is to be found by us unique features on 3D modeling and numerical simulation.In order to bring the three’s advantages into play, the paper proposes a coupling method for 3D Modeling and numerical simulation software, the primary content goes as follows:(1)The coupling scheme we design is based on the study of the characteristic of the data in GeoMS3D and ANSYS.In the scheme, we exploit the C++ programming language to develop the module of data interface.To achieve the goal of coupling the two software, we import the 3D model built in GeoMS3D into ANSYS, in which we can conduct the meshing in finite element.(2)According to the features of data in ANSYS and FLAC3D, we develop two interface modules, through which we can import the infinite data meshed in ANSYS into FALC3D.Coupled with the data of drilling hole we set stratigraphic rockmass mechanics parameters, model the extracted data on coal face, set the variables in modeling and data to be analysed in the project, at last analys the resault of numerical simulation.The application shows that the coupling between GeoMS3D and current large numerical simulation software gives full play to these softwares’ advantages, simplifies the numerical simulation of pre-processing procedures, provide high-quality finite element grid data for the numerical simulation. In a word, the project is expected to provide an intuitive and convenient working platform.
