This research focuses on Shan-2 reservoir property including lithology, physics, pore structure and heterogeneity in Zizhou region, based on drilling core, wireline logging data, combing with conventional porosity, casting thin sections and conventional mercury injection. Meanwile, the research focuses on the formation water characteristics, on this basement, analyzing the mechanism of water production, studing the distribution of formation water and discussing the main controlling factors of reservoir water concentration distribution.Shan-2 is divided into S21, S22 and S23 three sub sections. Research shows that in the study area Shan-2 sedimentary facies types is delta front deposition, with the development of the underwater distributary channel and distributary Bay.The lithology of Shan-2 in the study area is mainly composed of quartz sandstone, lithic quartz sandstone and lithic sandstone. The Shan-2 reservoirs belong to the low porosity and low permeability ones, being of porosities of 4-8% and permeabilities of 0.1 × 10-3~ 1 × 10-3μ m2 in general with strong reservoir heterogeneity. For evaluating the tight sandstone gas reservoir, the S23 reservoir is subdivided into 3 kinds, includingⅠ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ basing on Lithology, Property and Mercury pressure parameter.The producted water of Shan-2 in Zizhou includes condensate water, formation water and residual fracturing liquid. The type of formation water is mainly the calcium chloride V, and some are calcium chloride IV, favorable to the accumulation and preservation of natural gas. Based on the characteristics of the occurrence, the formation water is divided into three sub categories, including the side(bottom) water, isolated lenticular water and the formation water of retention.The edge(bottom) water with high output and high mineralization is mainly distributed in the west, southwest, south and east water-rich area of S23, and isolated lenticular water with relatively limited energy is distributed in the whole Shan-2 reservoir, and the last one with limited water energy is pruducted from some few wells.The main control factors of the gas-water distribution in the study area of Shan-2 incude the sand body, the property, the structure and some important factors in the the accumulation process of gas, which leaded into Today’s gas-water distribution characteristics comprehensively.The bend and pinch of the sandbody is the key, and the low position or the relatively low position on Structure is the main water-rich area. From S23 to S21, the heterogeneity enhances, the porosity and permeability gets lower, and the connectivity of sandbody is more exhausted, which have important influence on the distribution of lenticular water and the formation retention water.
