Varieties of geological hazards distribute in the west mountain area of China. Landslides, rockfalls and debris flows are the most dangerous geological hazards, which seriously threat the lives and properties of the local people and impede the local economic development. With the development of economy, the loss caused by landslide becomes larger. So information management and monitoring and forcasting of landslide are now regarded highly. Establishing a scientific, perfect and practical monitoring and forcasting management system is the demand of society development, which will provide efficient and exact warning information for government and public, reduce casualties and economic loss caused by landslide hazard effectively. At the same time, with high-speed development of Internet and WebGIS technology, they present a convenient and efficient platform with powerful function for monitoring and forcasting study of landslide hazard and release of warning information. So developing a monitoring and forcasting management system for landslide hazard based on WebGIS has a widely applied prospect.Relying on the monitoring of landslide along the road governed by Shaanxi Expressway Construction Corporation, this paper based on WebGIS technology, combined with ArcGIS for Server REST API, uses JavaScript as main implementation technology of WebGIS client, uses ASP.NET MVC Framework to develop a WebGIS system based on RIA/JavaScrip technology—Landslide Monitoring and Forcasting Management Information System of Expressway. The system implements map operations, data management, statistical analysis, early warning analysis and other functions. By the comprehensive management of spatial data and business data, updating landslide monitoring data, Improved the management of landslide monitoring-related documents, implemented the networked monitoring partially, Enhanced the management efficiency and modernization level of landslide monitoring, built a landslide monitoring and forcasting management system which is available for scientific forecasting, early warning analysis and timely response. It provides auxiliary decision support for monitoring and early warning of landslide along expressway in Shaanxi Province.Practical tests show that the system not only provide multi-user and multi-level for networked landslide monitoring and forcasting management system to meet the information management of landslide monitoring, such as acquisition, transmission, processing and release, but also implemented information resources, transmission network and scientification of decision-making of landslide monitoring and forcasting, enhanced the efficiency, management level and Scientific decision-making capacity of landslide monitoring and forcasting. The study of this paper carried out active exploration about RIA technology applied in GIS system of landslide monitoring and forcasting in future. It has some reference.
