The collapse of unstable rock has a hidden and unexpected,the event often caused heavy casualties and property losses. For the monitoring of unstable rock,can effectively control its dynamic deformation,and then take measures in advance to prevent and reduce the harm it causes. But unstable rock generally occurs in high steep rock,traditional measurement methods are difficult to be efficiently monitored.3D laser scanning technology is a new mapping technology lead in the field of measurement. With its efficient,intuitive and non-contact measurement,etc.,it was gradually get attention in the field of unstable rock deformation monitoring. In this paper,we take Chongqing Wulong County ridge crest unstable rock as an example,to study 3D laser scanning technology in the field of unstable rock deformation monitoring. The main work and achievements are as follows:(1)This paper studies the development and research status of 3D laser scanning technology and unstable rock deformation monitoring, and explains the basic principles,classification, characteristics and applications of 3D laser scanning technology.(2)This paper describes two point cloud data registration technology: Based on the characteristics of the surface registration techniques and ICP registration techniques.It discusses in detail the principles and characteristics of the two registration technology. It proposes a method of registration techniques that mixing Based on the characteristics of the surface registration techniques and ICP registration techniques.(3)It details MLS-based surface fitting. We realize the surface of the point cloud data between multi-fit by MATLAB.(4)This paper details a spherical projection strategy method. It implements the identification of unstable rock structure plane on the basis of the region growing method. It uses simulation survey line method to achieve the semiautomatic extraction of structural spacing and simulation analog rectangular window method to achieve the semiautomatic extraction of trace length.(5)The paper take Chongqing Wulong County ridge crest unstable rock as an example. Firstly,we denoise the point cloud data manually. Then we will carry out two phases of data registration and use Geomagic software for calculation and comparative analysis of shape variables. We use MATLAB to fit surface of the point cloud data after registration, and analyze the results of Geomagic treatment and surface fitting. Use Visual Studio C ++ software, we realize the recognition of semiautomatic and semi-automatic extraction of geometric parameters.
