Water is the important natural resources on which the survival and development of human reply, and the important restriction factor of the natural ecological environment.With social progress and economic development, water demand is growing.Water supply and demand contradictions have become increasingly prominent, resolving the water resource crisis has become one of the strategic issues worldwide. Wulanchabu city of jining lack of water resources, Statistics according to the relevant data, four centralized water-supply sources which Jining has ascertained have reached the boundaries of production. According to the holistic development plan of jining, the scale of urban construction will develop to a population of 1 million people; Groundwater resources are far from enough to meet the industrial production of urban construction and the requirements of resident living water just depend on the four existing water source. With the development of urban industrial production, the demand for water resources will be increasingly, the water shortages has severely restricted the development of urban construction and industrial production of jining. So it is necessary to set up the groundwater numerical simulation model to quantitative research the ground water resources in Jining marble, Inner Mongolia, to provide base to the rational develop groundwater resources and scientific management, supplying the hydro-geological data to satisfy total development programming of national economy and the adjustment of industrial structure.In this paper, through collections, sorts and analyses to the findings of the existing geological and hydro geological of the research area, respectively using groundwater numerical simulation software MODFLOW and GMS building marble groundwater flow model in Ji Ning Inner Mongolia. Through the groundwater regime observation date from2001 to 2011, firstly giving the arguments and boundary initial value, the model was corrected by manual and automatic adjusting-parameter, Comparison the fitting degree of the model about calculated values and the observed values, constantly debugging and correction the initial parameters and achieving the best fitting effect. Then fit with the measurement water values in 2011 to further verify the reliability and adaptability of the model. Identifying and verifying are both obtained good results, showing that the parameters of the model and the generalization of boundary are reasonable and the model can predict the groundwater water level. And predict the groundwater regime of the study area. Finally, compare the characteristic about the groundwater numerical simulation of the two soft wares, analyze and describe the advantage of the software.
