Jingbian is the fundamental fraction of national energy chemical industry base, which owns abundant mineral resources and located in the Northwest of Shaanxi Province. In recent years, its regional water demand increased along with economic development and industry scale expansion, while people’s awareness of protecting environment and using water rationally is still weak, which induced a series of environment problems, including lakes dried up, groundwater level declines and so on. As a result, this study focus on simulating the ground water through advanced technology, which has important practical significance for rational exploitation of underground water, ecological environment protection.Through investigating the current situation of Gushanken water source exploration and analyzing the usage of ground water and surface water, we get the basis for regional water source exploration and water environment protection. Firstly, this study established a hydrogeological conceptual model by analyzing hydrogeological characteristics of the groundwater flow system. Secondly, use GMS groundwater model for analysis, and the wild field pumping test model for identification and authentication. Thirdly, through the established 3-D numerical model of groundwater flow, in accordance with the proposed exploration programs on the water source, to simulate, forecast and analyze water source under different mining methods and impact of groundwater level.This paper first established a 3-D numerical groundwater flow model of in the industrial production area in Jingbian County. With the economic developed rapidly and industry scale expand largely in the study area, this paper mainly focus on the changes of underground water level influenced by different mining methods of water-source field in the research area. The results have practical value for the ground water resources development and the ecological environmental protection in Jingbian area, and provide reference model and experiences for socio-conomic, ecological and environmental development resources development and ecological environment protection and usefulness of the local industrial production sustainable development path as a reference guide.
