With the strengthening of people’s awareness of ecological protection, it is expected that a number of Vetiver grass(Vetiveria Zizanioides L.) seedlings could be used in protecting soil erosion and remediation of contaminated soil. So it is particularly important that increase the supply of vetiver seedlings by increasing vetiver propagation coefficient. In this study, we optimize two vetiver rapid propagation technology systems, the tiller transplanting method and the tissue culture method.1) The seedling age of vetiver has a significant effect on the transplanting survival rate of tiller seedlings. When transplanted from May 20 by one tiller per cave, the tiller seedlings have the highest transplanting survival rate, 60%.2) The hormone can promote the survival of the transplanted tiller seedlings. Under condition of irrigating solution contain 0.15 mg/L IBA and 0.30 mg/L NAA after tiller seedlings transplanted for 45 days, one tiller seedling can get the highest survival rate, 90%, and can product new tillers.3) Hormone significantly promote vetiver inter node dormant axillary bud germination( P ﹤ 0.05). The inter node dormant bud germination rate can reach the highest to 93.3% when the inter node dormant buds were cultured in 1×MS agar media contain 3mg/L BA and0.2 mg/L NAA. And the sterile bud germination rate was 82.2%.4) Cultured 1×MS agar media contain 2-3 mg/L BA and 0.5 mg/L2,4-D, the germinated axillary bud can proliferate 32.3 new adventitious buds, and the high of the new adventitious bud reach to 5.1cm.5) The vast majority axillary adventitious bud can rooting whencultured 1×MS agar media contain 0.5mg/L BA and 0.2 IBA for 20 days. The rooting rate was 95.2%, and the average number of new root was 9.5,and the average root length was 4.8cm.6) The survive rate was 33% when the new tissue culture seedling was transplanted in nature condition. However, the new tissue culture seedling transplant survive rate could increase to 93% when cultured in moist air condition.
