Application Of Magnetic Data Processing Methods In Oil And Gas Exploration In Ma Xian Area, Northern Margin Of Qaidam Basin

The northern margin of the Qaidam Basin is a superimposed basin, which has great potential for oil and gas resources. The dark mudstone in Jurassic is the hydrocarbon source rock. Faulting is the main geological factor in distribution of oil and gas. The most favorable oil and gas accumulation zone is the trap belts developed in the hydrocarbon source rock area and distribute along the fault, such as the Lenghu-Nanbaxian structural belt, green mountain front thrust belt. These aggregates are the next key areas for exploration,which have great significance in finding oil and gas reservoirs with economic value.Ma Xian area is the research area of this article which located in the upper part of Ma Xian fault, east of Lenghu-Nanbaxian structural belt. This area is surrounded by Jurassic hydrocarbon depressions and directed by oil and gas migration in a long term, there developed a series of row structure from the west to the east.This article combines a lot of drilling, seismic, geological and other data in the study area, the advanced technology is used to process the airborne magnetic date, and these following aspects of the research work are carried out.(1)Collect drilling data and seismic data in the research area and study regional formation, geological structure.(2) Treat aerial magnetic data in this area synthetically, predict the area where has been drilled to explain the reliability of our technology.(3) Conduct comprehensive analysis of the favorable target area for oil and gas exploration and drilling wells.Through the above research, the following results are obtained.(1) The structural interpretation results show that the fracture system of Ma Xian area is very complicated, based on the function of fault in the formation of structure, we can divide the fault system into three levels.(2) Further understand the strata in Ma Xian area, the area mainly include strata of the Jurassic and the third series.(3) Three favorable exploration directions in Ma Xian area are pointed out, the key structures such as the Maxi No.1, Mabei No.1 are the preferred targets to increase reserve of Ma Xian area, and oil source oriented paleo slope is the first choice for preliminary exploration in Ma Xian area.(4) Through using the conventional gravity and magnetic processing method and the processing technology of the sliced aerial magnetic date, locate oil and gas block in Ma Xian region.
