Located in the southwest of Qinzhou Bay-Hangzhou Bay metallogenic belt, Guizi,Xinyi of Guangdong Province is situated at the junction of Cathaysian Plate and Yangtse Plate. By collecting previous geological, geophysical and geochemical data, the author compared ore-prospecting models of typical Sn-Mo deposits in Xiping according to theory of metallogenic prognosis. Metallogenic prospects were delineated through metallogenic prognosis based on comprehensive information about geology, geophysics, geochemistry and remote sensing to objectively evaluate metallogenic potential and ore-prospecting vista within the area, in order to provide further guidance for ore-prospecting in that area.Being relatively developed, strata of that area mostly belong to Mesoproterozoic Ji County’s Yunkai Group, followed by Mesoproterozoic Ji County’s Gaozhou supracrustal rock assemblage, Neoproterozoic Qingbaikou system, Proterozoic Devonian system, carboniferous system, Mesozoic cretaceous system and Cenozoic Quaternary Palaeogene and Neogene systems. Intrusive rocks have developed in that area, where Cretaceous Granitic porphyry and quartz porphyry belong to acid hypabyssal subvolcanic rocks, which is closely associated with Sn and Au mineralization of the area. In this area, there are fault structures, which mainly develop from the north to the east, from the north to the west, and from the near east to the west. The junctions of the north-east and north-westfault structures are favorable metallogenic areas.Based on ore-prospecting indicators within the area and outcomes of this job, geochemical elements such as Sn, Au, Mo and Cu were discovered to be present in the high background field in Guizi, Xinyi of Guangdong Province. High values of Sn and Bi were directly related to tin mineralization within the area. According to the high-precision magnetic survey, the area showed weakly positive anomalies and was favorable for ore-forming. The intersected part between the linear and circular structures explained by remote sensing images was an advantageous area for ore-forming.Based on comprehensive information about geology, geophysics, geochemistry and remote sensing, integrated ore-prospecting models were built for the area. In combination with research findings about typical deposits, five metallogenic prospects at different levels were delineated in total, including four Level I and one Level I prospects. In this paper, research results have suggested that it is feasible and effective for exploring metallogenic prognosis based on comprehensive information by comparing ore-prospecting models of typical deposits in an area, so new ideas have been provided in this paper for further mineral prospecting and exploration within the area.
