The Antarctic takes a unique geographical location, can save a lot of environmental information, thus plays an important role in cognition of global climate change. On the East Antarctic Ice Sheet, Dome A has already become the main concern of international paleoclimate and paleoenvironment circles, because it is one of potential locations for searching the oldest ice body on the earth. In order to research Dome A, China has surveyed the region and the traverse from Zhongshan station to Dome A in detail through many Chinese Antarctic Scientific Expedition, obtained a large number of surface snow and ice core samples..Although Water stable isotope ratio is a common indicator to learn the climate information in the Antarctic ice and snow, its climatology meanings remain not to be clear along the traverse from Zhongshan station to Dome A. Therefore, this paper analyzes the temporal and spatial characteristics of water stable isotope ratios measurements in 109.91 m ice cores from China’s 21st Antarctic scientific expedition and surface snow samples from 31st Antarctic scientific expedition, using linear regression model.Comprehensive analysis results show that spatial distribution of water stable isotope ratios along the traverse from Zhongshan station to Dome A is large, which affected by the altitude and temperature. Also, there is linear correlation significantly between water stable isotope ratios and influencing factor, especially δ18O-T is 0.91‰/℃.δ-T slope and excess deuterium has regional characteristics, it can be concluded that the former may mainly influenced by changes of moisture source conditions and the action of the kinetic fractionation effect in low temperature and super saturation environment, then the latter is controlled by moisture source conditions as well as temperature.Based on the dating, research results on water stable isotope ratios of DA 2005 cores show that they almost keep stable with time, has multiannual cycles characteristics and there is an opposite trend between δ18O and excess deuterium. The temperature change records got by δ-T slope in the past century shows significantly rise all the way. In addition, through temperature records we also find the effects of volcanic events and moisture source area, then simply discuss the relations between major ion concentrations and water stable isotope ratios.
