The submerged area of reservoirs is an artificially ecologic result due to flood storage and flood detention and flood release of the reservoir. In terms of reservoir and the surrounding ecological environment, this kind of, dry-wet alternate and amphibious cohesive zone in the reservoir area ecological system is important for the ecological transition zone. Although from the geographical area and period, the submerged area in the reservoir surrounding ecological system occupies a very small proportion, it plays an irreplaceable role in regulating reservoir quality of soil and water, as well as plant growth such as ecological system. This paper takes the submerged area of Shifo temple reservoir as the research object. The moisture content and the basic physical properties of the soil are experimentally analyzed. Also, the eutrophic state the reservoir water are sampled and analyzed. Combining with the natural environment of the submerged area and the analysis result, a reasonable plant configuration is selected to avoid unreasonable use of land and making plant growth adversely affected. Through the rational allocation of vegetation, it can prevent soil erosion, making full use of the land of submerged area, and realizing the social, economic and ecological benefits for Liaoning province, which will provide a reference of plant configuration for other reservoir submerged area. The main research conclusions are as follows:(1) Base on the variation of water content ratio and the water level measurement, different areas are divided for the reservoir submerged area to study the influence of water on the submerged area in this paper. The correlation of the moisture content and other physical properties of the soil in the submerged area are analyzed. The results shows that:the capillary moisture field capacity> capacity> capillary porosity> porosity> maximum capacity> bulk density> noncapillary poropsity. It reveals the affective regularity of the soil moisture content on other physical properties. According to the results of soil moisture content, the submerged area is divided into three sections. Furthermore, the relationship of the moisture content and the capillary water holding capacity, maximum water holding capacity, porosity and field capacity, bulk density and other physical properties in different regions are analyzed. The change of the soil moisture content is a key factor to influence soil physical property. It will provide an important reference for the selection of plant configuration to improve the soil quality of submerged area.(2) Analysis results show that the water of Shifo temple reservoir are being in the mild or moderate level of eutrophication from 2012 to 2015. The trophic status index decreases from moderate to mild. The percentage of moderate eutrophication in annual decreases from 75% to 37.5%. The comprehensive trophic status index decreases from 62.06% in 2012 to 57.76% in 2015. The influence of various parameters (including in TN, TP, CODMn, Chl.a and SD)on the comprehensive trophic status index is evaluated. The results show that the index of TN is most significant impact, which is the main reason for the declining of water quality. The water quality is under the Ⅲ class of environmental quality standards for surface water in 2012-2015, even under the Ⅳ class in some months. By the correlation analysis among the water environmental factors, the results show that the pH is very significant positive correlation with the DO, SD is very significant negative correlation with the DO, TN is very significant positive correlation with the DO, TP is very significant negative correlation with pH, TP and TN have significant positive correlation, Chl.a and TN, TP are significantly positively related, CODMn is very significant negative correlation with the TP. In this paper, methods and results of water quality evaluation in the region provide the practice guidance for controlling and improving the water eutrophication.(3) Based on the analysis of soil physical properties of three region and water quality, combining with natural condition, social economic condition, the factors such as vegetation status, different regions are provided with different plant configuration. Area 1:the northeast forsythia bush is screened as the suitable trees for plants, marin for herbs. Area 2:the fluffy white wax is screened as the suitable trees for plants, amorpha fruticosa for shrubs, tall fescue for herbs; Area 3:Pinus tabuliformis var. mukdensis is screened as the suitable trees for plants, Lespedezadavurica for shrubs, Fescue for herbaceous plants. Reeds and typha water plant suitable for wetland aquatic plants, waterlily as semen euryales for floating-leaved plant, hornwort and black algae for submerged plan. Through the reasonable configuration of vegetation, it can effectively reduce soil and water loss, make full use of the land of the submerged area, realizing the optimization of the social, economic and ecological benefits. It provides a reference of plant configuration for the submerged area of reservoirs.
