The study area is located in the Greater Khingan Range mountains, the northernmost Eergu’Na metallogenic belt. This area is an important gold polymetallic ore concentration area in Greater Khingan Range region. The metallogenic geological condition is superior,so there is a good prospect. Due to various factors, the degree of previous geological and mineral exploration and research was low in the study area. In recent years, with the implementation of regional geology and mineral resources survey project, the efforts to look for mine in the region have been carried out with multi-source geoscience information, such as geology, geophysics, geochemistry and remote sensing, from which the metallogenic geological conditions and metallogenic regularity of the study area have been summed up, the prospecting criteria have been put forward and the comprehensive information prospecting model has been established.Through the summary and processing of the existing basic data such as geology, geophysics, geochemistry, remote sensing, this paper will establish a comprehensive information database. Guided by the model of ore prospecting and combined with the comprehensive ore prospecting information, this paper will use the theory of metallogenic prognosis to conduct a research to the geological, geophysical and geochemical characteristics in the Arctic Village area. And then it will give a comprehensive analysis to the features of metallogenic background, conditions, information and regularity in the study area. It will make full use of comprehensive prospecting method such as geology, geophysics, geochemistry, remote sensing and apply advanced technology--geographic information system(GIS) to do metallogenic prognosis in the study area, and carry out engineering verification. The integrated prospecting information indicates that in the study area, fracture structure and mineralization is most closely related, the nappe tectonics is a regional ore controlling structure, and the lead ore and ore hosting structure are NE direction brittle structural fracture zone and near SN direction brittle structural fracture alteration zone. The ore bearing strata is Jurassic Mohe County group. The wallrock alteration is developed and characterized by limonitization, silicification, pyritization, sericitization, kaolinization, chloritization and carbonatization. The overall trend of the high magnetic anomaly in the area is the distribution of the North East or North East. The total polarization of the IP anomaly is characterized by low resistance and high polarization. The apparent resistivity is < 700 Ω·m, and the apparent polarization ratio is > 9%. The soil geochemical survey of the element such as Au, Cu, As, and Mo showed combination anomalies and the concentration center is obvious, the anomaly intensity is high, and the nested structure fits better, which coincides with the IP anomaly.Combined with the ore prospecting information acquired in geological mapping, high accuracy magnetic survey, IP gradient survey and soil geochemical survey in the study area, it made the metallogenic prognosis, and delineated five comprehensive for ecasting target areas. Through the selection of target area, two areas were evaluated to be Grade II, and three areas to be Grade III. And the the exploration of tank engineering verification was carried out in the former ones. Finally, it found out nine gold bodies, among which there was one gold industrial ore body, four low-grade gold ores, and four gold mineralized bodies, with the average grade of 2.22g/t and the highest grade of9.54g/t.
