The applicational technology of graphite have come into our view since last century.Meanwhile the requirement of graphite arise significantly. But the study of graphite deposit is not adequate enough. This paper suggest the main geochemical and chronological characteristics of the Huangtuyao Graphite Deposit in Inner Mongolia.During the detailed geology survey,we collected several samples. And then we selected 12 of them which showed obvious characters. We put them to some academic institution. The Huangtuyao Graphite Deposit was explored in 1956 first. The stratum is composed of Gehuyao and Huangtuyao series, Jining group, archean erathem. The metamorphic gneiss district level are mostly granulite facies to senior amphibolite facies. The visible structures in this area is given priority to Huangtuyao syncline, and the fracture structure distribute randomly. The dykes of granite and diabase are few and have not formed a perfect scale. The thickness of orebody is large, and the grade of C is high. The rock types in this region are mostly sillimanite-garnet gneiss, quartzofeldspathic gneiss, biotite- plagioclase leptynite and tremolite-diopside granulitite. The metamorphism and migmatization are intensive. It has good foreground to research this deposit. The main geochemical characteristics of metamorphic rocks suggest that the original components of sediments is composed of marine and continental sources. The SHRIMP U-Pb chronological characteristics reveals the forming age of the original sedimentary deposit was presently considered to be 2000 Ma. The original rock resume of metamorphic rocks in this deposit maybe sandstone, shale and clay. So,it can be suggested that the genetic type belongs to sedimentary metamorphic deposit.
