In this paper, the tectonic characteristics in Gulongnan region of Songliao basin were studied. The study area is divided into seven tectonic units. Fault intensive belt is NNW direction. In the northern area, the faults are tectonic genesis,in the southern area, the faults are tectonic mixed with non-tectonic genesis.Fault activity show for polyphase.Based on the balanced section recovery, analyzed the tectonic evolution stages of the study area.:extend and downwarp stage, weak compression and denudation stage, steady subsidence stage after weak compression, compression and inversion stage, reform stage. And recovered the ancient structure. Study of the reservoir showed, types of sand body is mainly river sand and sand sheet; in the plane on the reservoir sand body mainly distributed in the central and Northern. The favorable sedimentary facies sand bodies are mainly the underwater channel and sheet sand. The development of trap types are mainly:faulted-anticline traps, fault traps, fault-lithologic traps, anticline-lithologic traps, sandstone lens traps, sandstone dip pinchout traps. The controlling function of the tectonic to the oil and gas reservoir is analyzed, and the model of oil and gas accumulation is summarized.
