In recent years, in the north of Qikou middle and low slope sand found the scale reservoirs, reported control reserves of 1 tons. But at the north slope of Qikou area, some problems are existing in both the quality of seismic data and geological aspects. Affected by the surface, acquisition and other factors, the uniformity of 3D seismic data in the north slope of Qikou District is poor. Previous seismic data processing mainly to meet the demand for structure interpretation, the resolution is low, seismic reflection characteristics of target layer are of strong amplitude, continuous reflections and differentiated thickness is 70 m, it is difficult to meet the storage reservoir prediction. With the further study of deep oil and gas exploration, deep in the theory and the breakthrough in prospecting technology, tight sandstone gas and other unconventional oil and gas are becoming the highlights of Qikou Sag, oil and gas reserves increase and exploration. But as new areas of exploration, the non-conventional oil and gas understanding is not enough, the effective methods and investigation procedure are not formed yet. Therefore, it is necessary to set up a dense oil and gas exploration project of in-depth and systematic research. So high resolution processing for the main target layer(sand one, especially for sand plate 2oil group), and base on this proceeding with reservoir prediction, fissure prediction and fluid prediction, study each sand group plane distribution, the implementation of oil and gas lithologic traps, propose horizontal well deployment, realize the effective upgrade of low level dense oil reservoir.
