Carbonate rock oil&gas fields hold an important position in the oil&gas distribution around the world, and Liaohe Oilfield has already taken the carbonate rock as one of the important exploration targets. This paper makes fully use of both the conventional and imaging logging data, and combine them with core analysis data as well as the pilot production data to make a fine evaluation of the reservoirs within the block and establish a series of reservoir evaluation methods including lithology identification, reservoir identification and division, as well as fluid identification, and the emphases are put on the quantitative calculation of such reservoir parameters as porosity, saturation, mineral components, engineering quality and geo-stress, etc. The horizontal well trajectory optimization is guided by and the engineering application study in the block is carried out through the in-depth study of the distribution regularity of the lithology and reservoir within the block and their interactive relationship, as well as the use of the parameters such as reservoir engineering quality and geo-stress, etc. These provide a stronger technical support to exploration, development and engineering. Through the study presented in this paper, the carbonate rock oil&gas logging evaluation technology of Liaohe characteristic is shaped and the new situation for compacted rock oil&gas exploration has been opend.
