Therefore, to determined the vertical sedimentary sequence distribution, stratigraphic overlap, lithologic distributionand the formation mechanism of the mud delta.We can impro ve the characteristics of complement of knowledge on the Delta and the classification system of sedimentology in theory.And it can guide the petroleum exploration and development of the Delta rich in argillaceous in practice.This thesis is based on compre hensive logging, logging, core, outcrop,3D seismic data and flume experiment. Through the previous research results, according to the ancient paleo tectonic terrain analysis, terrain slope and the deposition scope determined flow containing sand concentration and source of initial conditions, design of experiment model, by controlling the size of the flow, storage depth in different intensity of artificial transformation factors, is established to simulate the morphology, determine the rich argillaceous delta depositional model, formation mechanism, improve the classification of delta system, is expected to get rich mud delta sedimentary characteristics and formation mechanism of achievements and recognition.
