Along with the enhancement of oil/gas exploration degree, the imaging logging is playing the much more important role in the carbonate reservoir’s appraisal because of its viewable and intuitive characteristics. Firstly, characteristics which can reflect the of the reservoir properties should be extracted from imaging logging data. Secondly, data base of electric imaging logging characteristics should be established.lt will provide logging evaluation of carbonate reservoir with basic data. And then, it will provide guidance for determining target layer and even fine logging interpretation.Then the carbonate reservoir and non reservoir type are analyzed and described in detail. It is the base for the extraction and identification of carbonate reservoir and non reservoir. Firstly, the importance of well logging evaluation of carbonate reservoir is discussed, and the development course, basic working principle and application direction of electric imaging logging are expounded.This paper mainly studies the extraction algorithm of image texture feature, the feature extraction algorithm of electrical conductivity spectrum, color space feature extraction algorithm and so on. Characteristics of the above based on the dynamic image data after the pretreatment are extracted and analysised.The ultimate goal of this paper is to identify reservoir and non reservoir accurately, hi particular, the features will be extracted from the measured data and then the matching will be completed. Last,determine the type of the pending data quickly. In order to improve the computational efficiency, characteristics must be reduced. The main methods adopted in this paper are characteristic response analysis, histogram analysis and cross plot analysis.On the base of the research of theoretical method, the software for the extraction and matching of the logging features of carbonate rocks has been developed. The software realizes the electric imaging logging image database of feature extraction, a single image feature extraction and matching, actual data feature extraction and matching. The software is used to complete the processing and analysis of 9 wells. The treatment effect of one of them is analyzed in detail. The practicability of the software is proved to a certain extent.
