Four fundamental interactions are concentrated in neutron stars (NSs) extremely, so the NS can be regarded as a natural physics lab. So far the level of science and technology of human is not advanced enough to let us land at a distant star to study them directly. The realizable way is detecting their radiation to study them indirectly, such as electromagnetic radiation, neutrino and gravitational wave emission. In this paper, we have introduced the formation process, object structure and magnetosphere of the NSs simply, and the key point is the works about the NSs interpreted as the central engines of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) and fast radio bursts (FRBs).In the first chapter, a simple physical image is depicted. The introduction of GRB is shown in chapter 2, besides our works about the NSs account as the central engine of GRBs is also exhibited which includes the investigation of the radiation efficiency of GRBs X-ray internal plateau and the requirement to constrain GRB jets through magntic confinement. In the third chapter, we have introduced some models about FRBs, and demonstrated a conjecture that the supramassive differential rotating neutron stars collapse into the black hole can generate FRBs and GeV flares. Chapter four has introduced the work about the radiation mechanism of radio pulsars. We hope this can help us to understand the radiation mechanism of FRBs. At last, a summary and the future work plan are made. In the appendix, some conceptions about the radiation mechanisms are introduced.
