This article mainly studies static panel quantile error correction model and dynamic panel quantile error correction model. We analyze the relationship both electricity consumption and economic growth in China with these two kinds of model.The main work is as follows:1.The basic theories of panel unit root test and panel cointegration test are introduced,which are the basis of other chapters. we analyzed panel data between power and economy on China provinces and autonomous regions in 1995-2013 by the methods of panel unit root test and cointegration test. The results showed that:Electricity consumption and economic growth are an order integration process, the presence of co-integration relationship between electricity and GDP.2.Static panel quantile error correction model is builded,which is researched on the relationship between electricity consumption and economic growth in our country.The results showed that in the short term, slow, medium, faster provinces and the fasterest provinces,the electricity consumption growth is Granger causes of economic growth, and for provinces of the economy’s fastest growing, both short-term and long-term have causality of the electricity consumption and economic growth. But static panel quantile error correction model does not reflect the relationship between the electricity consumption and economic growth in neighboring years.3.Dynamic panel quantile error correction mode is builded, which is researched on the relationship between electricity consumption and economic growth in our country.The results show that:in the short term, slow, medium, faster provinces and the fasterest provinces,the electricity consumption growth is Granger causes of economic growth, and for provinces of the economy’s fastest growing, both short-term and long-term have causality of the electricity consumption and economic growth. Economy on the previous year, in the regions of the slowest, slow, medium, fast and fastest economic growth, are to play a catalytic role in after one year.
