The thesis try to discuss the mechanism of fracture and characteristics of hydrocarbon distribution of shale in Nanpu depression. Based on the well-logging, lithological and electrical logging of fracture, the paper analyzed the formation of fractures and inferred the distribution of fractures in shale stones by reconstruction logs and intersection diagram. According to the characteristics of fractures, combined with stratigraphic condition, sedimentation and faults development, the thesis discussed the key points of fractures formation from sedimentary conditions, tectonic movement, stratigraphic overpressure conditions and diagenesis. Finally, the paper completed the discussion of causes that make influences on the development of fractures in different areas to forecast the distribution of shale in Nanpu depression.Based on the characteristics of shale reservoirs and hydrocarbon shows, the shale included calcareous clay and oil shale. It can be concluded that the shale of Es3, which was thick, widespread and owned Ⅰ and Ⅱ type organic matter with high abundance and high thermal evolution, developed in the deep lake – semi-deep lake. Affected by the structure and overpressure, the densification shale mainly developed fractured and pore-fracture reservoirs; the accumulation pattern that owns the same source and reservoir determine the short migration; the trap without distinct boundaries. By analyzing two typical wells, NP280 and G80-12, author established hydrocarbon play mode.According to the analysis above, this thesis made evaluation of hydrocarbon resources and predicted the advanced targets of shale in Nanpu depression, which were the surrounding of M35—NP1-5 well area in Es1 and the northern part of G80-12 and NP288 well area of Es3.
