As one important branch of northwest district natural disasters, loess landslip is largely involved in the hydraulic electric engineering and railway, highway, is mining etc, more and more got the attention of the domestic and foreign research scholar. To prove exact and effective parameters for the protective measures reasonably, the research in stability and mechanism of landslip is particularly important in engineering practice.Based onthe 1nd landslide of Xiaohegou in G69 Yinchuan-Baise Expressway,summarizing meteorology,hydrology, formation lithology, geological structure and seismic of the landslide area. Based on this, through studying deeply the basic characteristics and the formation mechanism of the landslide and analyzing the stability of the landslide in limit equilibrium method and strength reduction method,last, we take some pointed measures for the landslide and simulate them, we make the following conclusions:(1)The 1nd landslide of Xiaohegou is made up by two neighbouring loess landslips, Its formation mechanism is which is the landslide’s slope toe is impacted by running water, primary nature slop was weaken at the interface of two kinds of landsides.(2)Calculate Ⅰ-ⅠandⅡ-Ⅱ with the limit equilibrium method, we can know: The landslip is basic stability ~ stability in normal condition; thelandslip is understable in improper condition.(3)Use the finite element numerical simulation software Midas/GTS to analyze the displacement and strain of The 1nd landslide of Xiaohegou, result display: the landslide is instability in rain condition and need corresponding govern.(4) According landslide principle and combine the specific circumstance of The 1nd landslide of Xiaohegou, anti-slide piles are used in the south landslide and the north part adopt the project of counterweight. Use the finite element numerical simulation software Midas/GTS to analyze the result of management, we can known: the displacement and shear stress area of the landslide arevery small, and the landslide is stable, treatment are reliable.
