Mindong area in south Songliao basin lies in the east of the Fuxin rumble strip of the Central Depression area, west of the Xinmin area, east of the Changchunling area and north of the first Songhua river.Applying the theories of high-resolution sequence stratigraphy, this paper established the high resolution sequence stratigraphic framework of Fuyu oil reservoir in mindong area. This paper systematically analyzes the sedimentary characteristics of Fuyu reservoir through 140 wells, logging data, combined with 10 cored wells, core data 565 heavy mineral analysis data, and related seismic data in the area of Mindong,Xinmin and Changchunling area. Determine the spatial of Fuyu oil reservoir sand characteristics and distribution characteristics of sand bodies. These studies provide reliable geological basis for further exploration and development in future. The study shows that during the period of Fuyu oil reservoir,Mindong area may mainly be controlled by the sedimentary system of East parts and South parts of Changchun-Huaide. Other sources did not have a material impact on Mindong area. In this period, the sedimentary environment was delta-lacustrine, and the subfacies were delta plain and delta front. It was controlled by distributary channels.Multi-channel sand is laminated, and the characteristics are unstable. The sand of distributary channel in delta plain facies is the favorable reservoir. Delta plain subfacies connected with delta front subfacies on the plane. Vertical phase sequence having the characteristics of the progradational sequence. This constitutes a single source of the river-controlled shallow delta depositional model.
