The north part of East despression in Liaohe basin have exprienced Multi-phase tectonic movements during Paleogene and Neogene,which caused various fault system and fault types.Fault is not only the media of hydrocarbon migration,but also the traps for hydrocarbon accumulation.Therefore,in order to provide theoretical constains for further analysis of hydrocarbon migration path,the characteristics of the fault and the effects of fault on reservoir is studied.Fistly,dividing the upper and lower sets of fault systems in accordance with previous studies.The characteristics of the fault is researched,including the geometry characteristics and fault activity.According to the above study show that fault is inactivity during accumulation period in addition to CiDong fault,which is conducive to the migration and accumulation of hydrocarbon.There are three stages of evolution of the East despression since Paleogene.Three types are divided according balanced section technology,which are early extended faults,later strike-slip faults and early extended and later strike-slip faults.Based on fault sealing mechanism,the lateral and vertical fault sealing are respectively researched throught lithologic contraposition,SGR,the fault zone claycontent index(FSI),the pressure of fault surface.In order to predict the sealing of others,the factor of fault seal is analized according to the result of fault seal and distribution of reservoirs.Studies have shown that the lower limits is different in the different types of faults.The floor value of the skiped faults is 0.40 nearly and the extended faults is less than 0.3.In other words,the skiped faults is easier to accumulate than the extended faults in the same condition.The lateral and vertical fault sealing are divided 9 types respectively based on the evaluation of fault seal in Dongying final period through burial history and tectonic evolution.The spatial configuration type of migration system are fault-fault,fault-sand body type and fault-unconformity.The fault-sand body is divided the hydrocarbon alone fault to sand body vertcially and alone sand body to fault laterally according to the path of migration.Equally,the fault-unconformity type also include two types.Addationaly,Fractures also dominate the distribution of source rocks and the formation of traps.The lateral and vertical distribution of oil is controlled by the fault seal and faults sealing history.In other word,faults sealing is good now and in Dongying final,which is benefit to hydrocarbon accumulation laterally and is not conducive to oil migration on layer vertically.
