Ground detection of existing buildings has become one of the technical problems of today’s society need to be resolved.. Most traditional detection methods need to drill and take sampling under the building foundation Seismic surface wave detector and ground penetrating radar are non-destructive testing that combined geophysical methods for FOOTING. Both methods are mostly to test the quality and safety of building for the building foundation. The use of geophysical techniques for nondestructive testing buildings have become a hot research topic in the construction industry, the safety of the has been built building closely related to people’s lives, However, at home and abroad the has been built building for threat detection is less. This paper studies the feasibility of testing building foundations risks using the equatorial dipole DC resistivity method.For underlying abnormality, when the external conditions changed, the anomaly will caused by the collapse of buildings tilt or collapse. Existing buildings foundation dangers in the geophysical manifestations is mainly reflected in the difference in resistivity,resistivity affected by various factors temperature, hydrological conditions, pressure, etc. Study the change of existing buildings Ground resistivity, which can effectively detect the presence of hidden dangers and prevent the occurrence of disasters.This paper studies the feasibility of risk aqueous and non-aqueous.Due to the presence of the building,we can?t distribute the measurement lines and poles above the ground. For the purpose to detect the hidden trouble under foundation, we distribute the measurement lines by the sides. According to the principle of dipole source, we can distribute the power-supply poles AB and the measurement poles MN in the two sides of the building to detect the hidden trouble of the foundation.Establish the geoelectric model by combining the types of foundation to these which has been built. In basis of electrical prospecting theory in the DC and three-dimensional finite element numerical simulation program, the author calculate the apparent resistivity to different geoelectric model and draw the section and sounding curves under the equatorial dipole device.The results show that the equatorial dipole DC resistivity method can directly test the risk under the natural foundation. Artificial ground by removing the masking effect of foundation to achieve the purpose of detection.
