This paper choose gypsum,gypsiferous mudstone, gypsum veins, metal sulfide and barite as the research object.The author comprehensively discussed the geochemistry characteristics of evaporate in Baiyangchang deposit and the role of gypsum in mineralization, which based on field geological investigation,the geochemistry analysis results of trace elements and rare erath elements and sulfur,strontium isotopes.Mainly has the following understanding and conclusion:(1)Analyzed data of trace elements of gypsum, gypsiferous mudstone, gypsum veins and limestone in Baiyangchang silver-copper deposit shows the distribution of trace elements in different geological bodies presents three categories: ①Represented by Li, Cs, Rb, Nb, the content of its in gypsiferous mudstone is the highest, followed by limestone, finally the gysum or gypsum veins.The elements of Be, V, Ga, W, Tl, Sc, Cr, Ni, Y, Th, Ta, Zr, Hf have the same regular.②Represented by Cu, Pb, Zn, the content of its in limestone is the highest,followed by gypsiferous mudstone, finally gysum or gypsum veins.The elements of Co, Cd, Sb, U, Bi, Ba have the same regular.③Represented by Cu, Pb, Zn, the content of its in limestone is the highest in samples.The distribution of Mo represents limestone> gysum> gypsiferous mudstone> gypsum veins.(2) Trace elements of gypsum, gypsiferous mudstone, limestone, gypsum veins in Baiyangchang deposit show the loss of Y and the enrichement of Pb with other elements.The content of Ba, U, Sr, Pb has clear difference in different category of geological bodies, limestone and gypsum enrich Ba, U and limestone, gypsum, gypsum veins enrich U.The element of U, Pb, Sr can indicate the active of ore-forming hydrothermal.The contont of trace elements and rare earth elements show that gypsiferous mudstone is close with Yunlong formation in gypsiferous mudstone.They have the same content of rare earth elements.Gypsiferous mudstone enrich the element V, Cu, Zn with Yunlong formation and loss the element of Sr.It candidate gypsiferous mudstone is the product of the interaction of ore-forming hydrothermal and Yunlong formation.(3)The characteristics of REE show that REE patterns based on NASC present two categories in gypsum,gypsiferous mudstone, gypsum veins, limestone of Baiyangchang deposit: ①Represented by Yunlong formation, REE distribution patterns is level; ②Represented by B9ZK05-4gypsum which enrich organic matter, it loss in LREE and enrich in MREE.There are some samples in gypsum, gupsiferous mudstone, limestone as this characteristic.(4)The characteristics of sulfur isotope and strontium isotope of gypsum in Baiyangchang deposit show gypsum formed in continental sedimentary environment,which appear the characteristic of strontium isotope in sea water.The characteristics of sulfur isotope and strontium isotope in barite of Baiyangchang deposit and sulfur isotope in metal sulfide show gypsum of formation provided the sulfur source for precipitation of ore-forming matter.(5)The characteristics of evaporate,barite and sulfide of Baiyangchang deposit show gypsiferous mudstone is the product of the geological process of ore-bearing hot brine and Yunlong formation.The ore-forming materal of Baiyangchang deposit comes from ore-bearing strata.
