At present, in terms of geological exploration, there are many geophysical exploration methods, and all of the methods have certain effectivenesses and limitations in mineral exploration, and there are multiple solutions. How to use these methods to put them together effectively to reduce the multiple solutions, then we can give full play to the advantages of each method, and provide good basis for drilling engineering verification, all of these have been the target of exploration geophysical workers. Geophysical detection technology is an important mean in searching for concealed mineral, it can provide abundant information for prospecting exploration. So geophysical detection technology play a crucial role constantly in searching for concealed ore exploration.Magnetic prospecting is a geophysical method that through the observation and analysis of the magnetic anomaly that caused by the magnetic differences between rock and surrounding rock to infer the underground geological structure and the distribution of mineral resources. In this paper, we use high precision magnetic survey data of 1:10000 region in the middle west of Kaimuqi river Qinghai province to select the workspace of magnetic anomaly range, and made evaluations for the mineral exploration directions and prospects. It will play a positive role for future work. The work was done that throng the geological rock geochemical and geophysical prospecting, divided the formerly gabbro rock body,then select a range of basic- ultrabasic rock. The rock mass is accordance with magnetic anomaly center position, and the Ni content is higher, metal sulfide is also visible. By the means of comprehensive analysis,The reason of magnetic anomaly was cased by basic- ultrabasic rock mass, and in the ultrabasic rock mass the magnetic anomaly was highly than others.Otherwise, in the magnetic profiles of J-2 and J-3, the surface lithology of the magnetic anomaly was diorite, speculate that maybe its lower part still exist ultrabasic pyroxene rock body. By comparison with rock geochemical exploration, Ni content in the location of pyroxene rock body relatively low that was the region expored deep is higer than the gabbro rock body in the north, so searching for concealed ore exploration has a good metallogenic prospects, it also verified that the copper-nickel sulfide deposit exist in the deep of the ultrabasic rock.
