Due to lack of straightening theory and behind the measurement equipment forstraightening and other reasons that produce large straight seam pipe has been in theartificial straightening stage, which is low-accuracy and high labor intensity. According tothe characteristics of large pipe fittings, commonly pressure straightening is useed. On thebasis of the small curvature springback equation, pure bending plane curved beamsequivalence theorem and neural network theory, using LabVIEW as platform and MatlabScript node which is concluded by LabVIEW, developed calculation procedures whichsolves the problem of real-time predictive intelligence and real-time control of keytechnologies in straightening process about deflection fitting, material parameters inversemoment and correction coefficients. This job combine of software and theory.The intellectualization of large pipe straighting, which includes4basic elements,real-time monitoring, identification, prediction and control, is the crossing subject ofcontrol-science and s theory. According to the characteristics of the initial piece, utilizingphysical quantities easy to be measured, material properties can be determined in real-time,and then the forming process can be completed automatically with the optimal processingparameters. The intellectualization of straight metal forming not only can the feature ofmanufacturing technique be changed, but also the transformation of press equipment canbe forwarded. It brings about the progress of pipe straighting theory and improvement ofanalysis precision at the same time. It has improved productivity and the rate of finishedproducts. Most workpieces are diameter, thin wall in engineering practice which is moredifficult straightened, so it has much academic value and significance to study intelligentcontrol technology of large pipe fittings.In this paper, the measured length of12m for large-diameter longitudinal seam weldsteel pipe straightening maximum deflection for60-75mm, according to the physicalsimilarity, the maximum deflection of1m long, for4-10mm steel tube are measured andidentified material parameters and predicted straightening parameters.The final straightness of straightening pipe in the industry standard range, demonstrated the feasibility of this straightening system.
