The men’s clothing industry as the pillar of our country’s garment industry, bearsthe weight of the rag trade mission. In the past20years, men’s clothing industry isgradually translating into a separate brand from the OEM processing industrydevelopment stage. In the driven of most major companies creating their own brand,men’s clothing market situation homogenization is increasingly apparent, especiallythe business casual men’s clothing.In response to the market situation, our brands want to become stronger whichmust make our own style and characteristics. First of all, we need to understand thepreference of the consumer groups and consumer markets, and subdivide the casualmen’s clothing market on the basis. Conducting a scientific and rational marketposition to understand the needs of the target consumer groups, and then produceclothing in line with the target consumer demand. Therefore, the paper is based on thereasonable market segmentation and positioning principles, in the north and east eachto choose a city, respectively Beijing and Shanghai, attempt to analyze the impact ofthe geographical differences on the casual men’s clothing design.The research methods include literature research, market research, data analysis,and interdisciplinary studies and so on. The data and other pictures of this paper comefrom a casual men’s clothing brand named Dancing Wolves Clothing LimitedCompany. Research the age of the population is aged25to45years old.Comprehensive analysis of their favorite casual men’s clothing, multi-angle,objectively study both casual men’s style features, style features and designtechniques. A comprehensive and objective understanding of the two casualmenswear design style, so as to understand the pulse of the regional culture of casualmen, provide a new way of thinking for the differences in the design of the casualmen.This paper is divided into seven parts. The first part is the introduction, whichintroduces the research background, definition and research significance. The secondpart is the definition of the concept and the case analysis. The third part puts forwardthe argument, from the aspect of style, fabric and color to analysis of the regional differences of men’s casual clothing design. The fourth part analyzes the argument,from the aspect of natural and social factors to analyze the geographical differences inthe design of casual men’s clothing mainly. The fifth part is to propose solutions,namely in the accurate and detailed grasp the target market and based on the analysisof competition of brand to design pointedly. The sixth part is the subject of designplanning practice. Part VII is a summary and research prospects of the paper.This paper is committed to provide an easy method from the perspective ofcondensed practical to understand and control, for the designer, planning andmarketing personnel. I hope this topic can help the operators of garment enterpriseshave a more comprehensive understanding, and for them provide a path how to viewand understand the development of casual men’s clothing industry diversification witha more comprehensive mind and comprehension, and to better grasp the pulse ofcasual men‘s clothing development and make the design more proactive.When casual men’s clothing brand is in the face of the fierce market competitionpattern, we see the geographical differences and understand the reasons of thedifferences. According to the consumption diversified and geographical differences,we bring about the introduction of the breakdown products to meet consumer demandto improve the market competitiveness of the brand, and the sales of clothing will alsobe greatly improved.Therefore, we must do adequate market research on the market and have adetailed analysis of the target consumers before we enter a new target regional market.Research on this topic can provide a feasibility reference for the casual men’s clothingenterprises to achieve market differentiation and effective competition.
