Deinococcus radiodurans appears the unprecedented ability under the press ofoxidation. The press of oxidation comes from the material of reactive oxygen, metabolismmechanism, physical and chemical reaction, such as short of water, ionizing radiation,ultraviolet, MMC, and H2O2. On the side of active oxygen, Deinococcus radioduransreveals the ability of resistance obviously. The dry and electronic radiation can injure thegenetic and protein of strain, fat, nuclease and hydrocarbon, including the injury ofpotential deadly death of double strand DNA. It regarded as the most anti-radiationmicroorganism in the world.Deinococcus radiodurans owns so many advantages. We have drawn the growth curveabout the blank and under the copper ion through many experiences. Deinococcusradiodurans is insensitive under the copper ion. In characteristic of insensitivity, it wipesoff the copper ion in the polluted water. Taking a full advantage of ICP-OES technologymonitors the concentration of copper ion in the sample. When the beginning concentrationof copper ion is1.36mg/L, the removal efficiency comes to57.3%, When the beginningconcentration of copper ion is6.28mg/L, the removal efficiency comes to35.4%. Inaddition, we find Deinococcus radiodurans assemble under copper ion by LSCM.Deinococcus radiodurans has the potential ability to clean the polluted water as theengineering bacterium.In-depth study, we find that copper ion could rescue the growth inhibition ofDeinococcus radiodurans by cadmium ion. Using10μL10mM cadmium ion deal withDeinococcus radiodurans. Through ICP-OES monitor the removal efficiency, at the sametime, add10μL10mM copper ion to in liquid medium, finding Deinococcusradiodurans assemble, obviously. While only use cadmium ion the inhibition zone ofDeinococcus radiodurans is obvious. At the same circumstances, add10μL10mM copperion to the culture. The inhibition zone of Deinococcus radiodurans turns small clearly. Theinhibition zones reduce to0.76than the initiation. The antagonistic effect revealsremarkable.This research reveals that Deinococcus radiodurans is highly insensitive under copperion. Copper ion could rescue the growth inhibition of Deinococcus radiodurans by cadmium ion, but the machine needs further study.
