The problem of the prevention and control of floor heave in the stoping tunnel hasbecome one of the difficult problems in coal mining field,so to explore the failure mechanismand prevention and control technology in the stoping tunnel has important theoretical valueand practical value.The paper has conducted a systematic study of the prevention and controlof the stoping tunnel in Hongshiyan coal mine by field observation, as well as by theoreticalanalysis.The understanding,observed the materials of deformation and failure in12406return airroadway, is that the stoping tunnels in IV mining area are soft rock roadways. The reason offloor heave in12407return air laneway is that the secondary mining influence from12406working face.Under the influence from12406working face,the two sides in12407return airlaneway is under higher stress and will stress to the floor.Under the high stress from two sidesof12407return air laneway,floor stratas are squeezed to the inside of roadway and thesummon up of the bottom of the roadway is formed.Because of the summon up of the bottomof the roadway, upward shear stress has been formed in the two sides and causes shear fracturein the two sides of roadway. Floor heave of roadway in IV mining area, mainly for the highstress in two sides and the soft bottom layers, is identified as typical extrusion flow type.After learning that the mechanism of floor heave of roadway is secondary mininginfluence from the last working face, the control theory of the stress from the stoping tunnelsis systemic introduced. In the final, combining with the specific circumstances in theHongshiyan coal mine,the plan using the pressure relief groove to control the floor heave ofroadway is put forward.In order to verify the effectiveness of the scheme, we implemented the scheme ofcontrolling floor heave by using the pressure relief groove in the12407air retain way, anddecorated the observation station near the pressure relief groove to studied it. Monitoringresults showed that the sinkage of the roof is very tiny, the convergence between roof and floor of the roadway was mainly caused by floor heave, and began accelerating growth at30~40mfrom the working face, it verified the mechanism of roadway’s floor heave is the influence ofthe second mining. By comparing the measurement data with or without pressure relief groove,we obtained that the pressure relief groove had played a great role in the governance ofroadway’s floor heave in the soft rock roadway of the red rock mine IV mining stope,effectively controlled the floor heave, and ensured the safety and high efficiency of the stopingwork.
