In this paper, we use different ways to research the roadway displacementprediction method based on inverse theory which including on-site monitoring, theoretical analysis, laboratorytesting, numerical simulation, verification and so on. weapply genetic algorithm and finite difference method to get rock mechanics parameters. On this basis, we give out the principle of the roadway displacement prediction basedon the principle of inversion theory and its implementation process. This method isverified in practical engineering that it can achieve better prediction. In the back analysis of surrounding rock mechanical parameters, we select themethod of displacement back analysis whose index is displacement and propose thatimpact and sensitivity are the evaluation criteria for the reversible property of the backanalysis of the roadway displacement. Specific and detailed research is done on thereversiblepropertyof elastic modulus E,Poisson’sratio, cohesionC,internalfrictionangle and side pressure coefficient that are to be retrieved. Using genetic algorithmsand numerical simulation in Flac3D, we suggest the roadway displacement backanalysis based on genetic algorithm method and use the method on the mine Dingji1252(1) face roadway. We are succeed in the ’displacement equivalent" mechanicalparameters of roadway. Finally, with the inversion results, we establish Flac3Dnumerical simulation model to predict the roadway deformation, and predictdeformation of roadwayin late period. Though comparing the results of prediction withactual observed data, we know that the method of roadway deformation predictionaccuracy of20%or less, which achieves precision engineering requirements.
