As an important part of the "grinding and grading" system, material classifying iswidely used in cement production. The classification efficiency directly affects theyield and quality of cement, and the production of energy consumption. In the countryto promote the "energy-saving emission reduction" policy, the cement industryovercapacity is becoming more and more serious, at least reduce the production cost,the new energy-efficient air classifier development is imperative., Cement rawmaterial, quartz sand as analysis samples, in this paper through three ways of theory,experiment and orthogonal test optimization, throwing determinate the classificationefficiency of the dispersion type air classifier, to get the optimal classifier structureand parameters.The particle motion in the air is the results of a variety force interaction, mainlydepends on the particle’s properties and flow characteristics. Through analysis theforce of the particle, drag force, gravity and buoyancy is known as its main force,other forces can be neglected. The upper part of classification chamber is the mainarea of coarse powder whereabouts, fine powder into the deposition chamber. As thetube area is exist in the classification chamber, analysis showed that the blown upcoarse particles whereabouts range is along the side wall of the15degrees out ofstraight line of the classifying chamber; and fine powder should sink as much aspossible in the chamber settlement.Experimental research, experiment with three kinds classifying chamberstructures, and using the theory and the test data analysis each device structure defectsand deficiencies, to proposed a better classifying chamber structure. Comparisonexperiments, respectively in different wind speed and feed processing capacity,analysis its influence on the pressure loss, the classification efficiency. The test resultsshowed that, in dealing with the same amount, with the grading chamber spaceincreases (from1#to3#), as the processing quantity to get a higher classificationefficiency, then the needs of air volume is increase, the amount of air volume beltamount of feeding; for a grading chamber, as the air volume is same, the classificationefficiency with the amount of processing the trend is reduced; for a grading chamberstructure, as the processing is same, the classification efficiency is always with the airvolume increased firstly and then decreased; the air velocity is steady and more stable, more conducive to improve the classification efficiency, reduce the loss of pressure,the better the effect of classifying.Using the orthogonal experiment design, the optimization of three factors andthree levels of tests, get the particle size composition, air velocity, the handlingcapacity of three factors of the optimal configuration.This research has the guiding significance on the development of new energysaving air classifier.
