Extrusion technology is a kind of chipless forming processing technic with highefficiency, high quality and low consumption, which has become a type of extremelyimportant means of metal plastic forming process in these fields such as the machinery,automobile, aerospace, aviation, war industry, electrical appliances. It is showed thatextrusion process is a complicated process affected by the materials performance, themould shape, the blank shape and the extrusion process. These effects largely determinethe quality and comprehensive mechanical properties of products. In order to achievesatisfactory size precision and performance of product, we must grasp themicrostructure evolution regulation under various thermodynamic conditions, and thenoptimizes the product process based on the performance requirements, which is veryimportant for improving the quality of the extrusion products.This paper mainly do the study on the process optimization of pipe7050al alloyextruding, and the main research results and contents are summarized as follows:①To conduct the hot compression experiments of7050aluminum alloy samplesunder the conditions of isothermal and constant strain rate by TMTS thermal simulator,deciding the experimental data of7050aluminum alloy under high temperaturecompression, and obtain the true stress-true strain relationships.②To establish the constitutive relation model of7050aluminum alloy under thehigh temperature deformation condition based on the hot compression experimentalresults by the regression analysis and calculation, and then set up the peak flow stressmodel of7050aluminum alloy within the scope of experimental conditions.③The analysis of dynamic recrystallization and experimental research. Thispaper established the dynamic recrystallization model of7050aluminum alloy usingdata based on hot compression experiment results.④The microstructure of7050aluminum alloy is observed using metallographymicroscope (OM), and the effect law the deformation process parameters on themicrostructure evolution regularity is analyzed. The accuracy of the peak stress modeland the dynamic recrystallization model are verified by the finite element analysis basedon DEFORM-2D software.⑤The die structure size of pipe extrusion forming is designed and finite elementanalysis model is set up. To do the simulation under the different extruding parameters conditions based on DEFORM-2D software and select the orthogonal analysis methodto deal with the process parameters and the analysis results. Finally, the optimal processparameters combination is obtained to achieve the implementation of7050aluminumalloy pipe extrusion forming process optimization.The research work in this paper has a certain theoretical significance and practicalvalue for the quality control of extrusion products in actual production.
