Biochemical waste water treatment methods can not be used in Rare earthindustry due to the high concentrations of salt in its water. The problem of wastewaterpollution to the environment can be thoroughly solved Using three effect evaporatorwastewater treatment, but the high operating cost can’t afford by most of theenterprises."Fenton oxidation, sand filter, activated carbon adsorption technology"has been recognized by many rare earth production enterprises, it’s running effect, stable water quality standards have been agreed with the relevant environmentalprotection department. This paper discussed the advantages and disadvantages of theprocess in the design, debugging and operation management, through comparison andanalysis two same size of ndfeb waste recycling company respectively usingContinuous and intermittent "Fenton oxidation, sand filter, activated carbonadsorption process”.The result shows that:(1)The wastewater prodused in the companies of Ndfeb waste recycling can bedivided into four categories: the wasterwater including high salt, otherproduction wastewater, general production process wastewater and initial rainwaterand sewage. Different pollutants removal process was used according to the waterquality characteristic and the effluent can make the “rare earth industrial pollutantsemission standards”(GB26451-2011)(2)The investment in fixed assets of235cubic meters per day continuous andintermittent "Fenton oxidation, sand filter, activated carbon adsorption process” are963600yuan and935800yuan respectively.(3)The energy consumption were1.044and0.698yuan per cubic meterswasterwter and the medicine cost is8.97and7.22yuan per cubic meters wasterwter oftwe process respectively.(4)There are some differences in the operation and management of tweprosess: the continuous Fenton oxidation process adopts electric control, automaticdosing, can reduce the manual operation, but it requires the operating workers have higher technical level, to master and use of the full set of automatic control system;while the intermittent Fenton oxidation process adopt manual operation in the processof operation, the operation process is more, only need operator to finish the work inaccordance with the procedure set, corresponding to the technical requirement of theoperand is low.
