The Study On Ecological Carrying Capacity Evaluation Of Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone

Rapid paces of building Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone represent strategic demands of the building of ecological civilization,ensuring realistic demands of national grain, ecology, and national well-being and presenting internal demands of accomplishing regional developmental strategy. The construction of Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone, its ecological carrying capacity as the foundation and insurance, should apply to the rule of natural, economic, and social development, an integrated research about ecological carrying capacity of Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone helps collaborated development of population,resources, environment, society and ecology in the region and provides the construction of the Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone with decision-making suggestions,promoting developmental process of Hunan two-type society.On the basis of a profound research about ecological carrying capacity from in and abroad, this thesis mainly includes:(1) building the integrated evaluation system of ecological carrying capacity in eco-economic region was established from four aspects-ecological flexibility,resource carrying capacity,environmental carrying capacity and human support-by a series of researches about natural geology, ecological environment,developmental condition of social economy,and ecological-carrying-capacity-indicators system in the country;(2)the subsystem of ecological carrying capacity was calculated and analyzed in Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone from2008to2012by integrated evaluations of indicators system and principles of principal component analysis;(3)the weight in subsystems was determined by analytic hierarchy process, and the developmental condition of ecological carrying capacity in Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone from2008to2012was integrally estimated by grading methodologies of integrated evaluation about eco-economic carrying capacity in regions;(4)through the received results from researches, certain strategies and suggestions were brought out for promoting ecological carrying capacity of Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone.After a series of researches and analysis, some basic conclusions were drawn that:(1)the trend of ecological carrying capacity in Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone, from2008to2012was consisted of two stages-the upward of ecological carrying capacity from2008to2010, the downward of that from2010to2012and at the end of2011leveling off;(2)four subsystems in the indicators system of integrated evaluations in Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone, from2010to2012showed the transformation-the fluctuation of ecological flexibility, resource carrying capacity and ecological carrying capacity showed the same trend that the index of those items decreased on the bottom equally in2011and was getting to increase since then, the index of support by human was climbed up gradually from2008to2012, and the index of ecological carrying capacity evidently dropped down as a whole from2008to2012;(3)ecological carrying capacity in Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone from2008to2012represented an reserved condition, especially the subsystem of environmental carrying capacity, and should be paid more attention;(4) the efficiency of water resource, the utilization of land resource, and pollution condition of ecological environment caused by the development of agriculture and industry play significant roles in the condition of ecological carrying capacity of Dongting Lake Ecological Economic Zone.
