Some organic compounds such as Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and organchlorinatedpesticides (OCPs), which belonged to endocrine disrupter chemicals, were endangeringenvironment, organism and human kinds. They existed in environment and organism,disrupted the endocrine system, which made the biological function of the reproductivedecline, but also had strong carcinogeneic effect. In addition they had long-range transportnature and therefore the study for such material was of great significance.This paper studied the distribution, measuring method and ecological risk assessment ofPCBs and OCPs in our country marine sediments, Dalian Bay and Hangzhou Bay. The PCBconcentrations of Dalian Bay and Hangzhou Bay ranged from0.723to14.869ng/g and0.762~3.861ng/g. The OCPs concentrations ranged from7.757to69.597ng/g and3.823to23.029ng/g, respectively in Dalian Bay and Hangzhou Bay, in which Hexachlorocyclohexanes(HCHs) and Dichlorodiphenyldichloroethylenes (DDTs). The ecological risk levels wereassessed in terms of PCBs and OCPs concentration, The values suggested that the PCBs hadno ecological risks in Dalian and Hangzhou Bay. OCPs in the sediments of Hangzhou Baymight have minor influence to the environment, while the Dalian Bay was worthwhiledrawing specific attention due to its medium risk level.The passive sampling device was designed and produced in order to eliminate theuncertainty of natural organisms. A method for analysis of PCBs in water with SPMD,TECAM and the influence of HA on adsorption have been established, The analysis processand the equilibrium time were also discussed. The results showed that the adsorptioncapabilityof TECAM was better and the trend is more obvious, balance time was72h, andHA have a great influence on PCBs, HA could decrease the adsorption of PCBs and delay thetime. The recoveries for28PCBs were range from88.29%~112.74%. The results showedthat TECAM could enrich waterborne PCBs resedues efficiently. Therefore, TECAM can beused to monitor the content of hydrophobic organic pollutants in water.
