The main content in this paper is looked high temperature environment, lowtemperature environment and heat physical demand of the human body as thebackground, based on endothermic and exothermic of phase change materials andthe principle that phase change materials can maintain a constant temperature whenit changes its phase. On the basis of the structure of the existing phase changeclothing, the specifications of PCM bags, the package clearance of PCM bags, thepaper determined the optimization configuration to ensure the protective effect of thePCM clothing.(1) Design of the PCM clothing system. Firstly, according to the physiologicalneeds of human body, the number of layers of the PCM clothing is determined.Secondly, analysis heat transfer mode among human, clothing and environment, thispaper gives the design of different layers configuration. Thirdly, taking comfort ofthe human body and safety into account, this paper chooses out the inner and outerclothing, and the heat preservation layer is designed. Finally, through body dressingexperiment, the phase transition temperature is determined.(2) The protective effect of human experiment under different layersconfiguration and high temperature environment. Firstly, this paper selects left chestand left center-back of human body, left chest and left lower back of microclimate asthe four measuring point. Secondly, regard protective performance of PCM clothingand comfort of the human body as evaluation standard. Thirdly, determine PCMclothing with optimal protection under the same environment temperature and different layers configuration.(3) The protective effect of manikin experiment under different layersconfiguration and low temperature environment.
