In this research, synthetic printing and dyeing wastewater added anthraquinone dyereactive brilliant blue KN-R and starch is biodegraded to investigate thedecolorization effect of anaerobic sludge. The study includes three parts: firstly, acclimating the anaerobic sludge by different methods and selecting the best methods;secondly, fitting the degradation process of wastewater by different kinetic modelsand deriving the kinetic parameters; thirdly, investigating the effects of factors on thedegradation and optimizing the reaction conditions by orthogonal test. The resultsshow that:(1) The co-substrate replacing acclimation method is used in this paper, and thedecoloration rate is over60%. The effulent pH is between5.5and6.5after theco-substrate replacing period.(2)The acclimated sludge shows a higher decolorization and COD removal ratecompared with unacclimated sludge, when reactive brilliant blue KN-R is more than100mg/L. And it is on the contrary when the dye concentration is less than100mg/L,because the unacclimatized sludge has the stronger unsaturated adsorption thanacclimated sludge(3)The reactive brilliant blue KN-R is removed according to first-order reactionkinetics. The fitting equation isc94.9e0.0079t. Values of the first-order reaction rateconstant is0.0079h-1, the half-life was80.11h, and the fitting correlation coefficient is0.9141. The modified Stover–Kincannon model was used for the kinetic analysisof COD removal in this study. The maximum substrate utilization rate constant is76.92mg/(L*h), saturation constant is129.91mg/(L*h), and the fitting correlationcoefficient is0.9731.(4)Based on the test results, the condition of influence factors can be moreappropriate,on which sludge concentration is4~6g/L,mixed speed is60~120r/min, the initial pH is6~8, the reaction temperature is30℃~40℃,the salinity is lessthan0.5, the best concentration of NaCl and Na2SO4is0.2g/L and0.5g/L.
