As a magnetic alloy with excellent performance, siliconsteel was widely used in electricity power and electronic industry, etc. Byrecrystallization, the general grain-oriented silicon steel achieved Gosstexture. Cubic texture silicon steel performed high magnetic propertiesboth in vertical and parallel directions. Thus, it was an ideal material forthe transformers. In this paper, cold rolling and atmosphere annealingtreatments were performed on the oriented silicon steel in laboratorycondition. The mechanism of cubic texture was investigated.The AQ130CGO samples were prepared. Effects of cold rollingdirection as well as parameters of N2+H2atmosphere heat treatments ontexture evolution were studied and the cubic texture silicon steel platedwith0.4mm thickness was obtained.The results from parallel cold rolling showed that the texturetransformation was {001}<110>â†'{111}<112>â†'{111}<110>. From theannealing experiment, fine grains with construct Goss orientation wouldswallow others including {111}<110> grains with Σ5and Σ11grainboundaries decreased.The results from vertical cold rolling showed that the texturetransformation was {100}<011>â†'{001}<130>â†'{001}<140> on cubictexture. After annealing, the {100}<001> texture with a certain deviationangle was obtained. Meanwhile, from the surface to the center layer, γfibers intensity has gradually increased, this would have a negativeimpact on the magnetic properties.After the first parallel then vertical cold rolling, without theintermediate annealing, the formation of texture on magnetic propertiescan be beneficial. After the intermediate annealing, cube texture orientedgrains were got, along with the growth of grains, Σ3and Σ5characteristicgrain boundaries generally decreased and Σ7characteristic grainboundaries generally increased. Finally the cube orientational grainsannexed other grains and abnormally grew.In order to obtain cubic texture silicon steel, the experimental processes should as follows: the plates were annealed through900℃×5min, the thickness plates of0.756mm were achieved in4times coldrolling, under50%N2+50%H2atmosphere and1050℃×60min annealing.And then, the thickness plates of0.397mm were obtained under1050℃×10h annealing in the SK2-2-12tube furnace with2times cold rolling.
