In this paper, the actual industrial production of methyl ethyl ketone as the background, the use of Aspen Plus simulation software for SBA chemical refining process simulation calculations to explore the optimum conditions, bring out the upswing plan. To the new scheme can achieve energy saving, reducing losses and increasing SBA purpose of economic efficiency of enterprises. In the Aspen Plus date regression as NRTL-UNIF-DMD method to simulation the sec-butyl alcohol/sec-butyl-ether/water system, equilibrium simulation data calculated results agree with literature values, indicating that the simulation method is feasible. In order to improve the yield of sec-butyl alcohol, reduce energy consumption, the use of Aspen Plus with NRTL-UNIF-DMD to simulation the operation condition of the light tower C-151in the SBA purification process, By setting different operating conditions to get the factors for product purity and the best operating conditions. Calculation results showed that:the product purity and power consumption of the tower C-152and C-153change with the operating reflux ratio significantly. Through simulation model to optimize the whole process, under optimization conditions the recovery rate of99.6%,17.76%reduction in energy consumption.Sec-butyl alcohol purification process based on site operating parameters, using Aspen Plus chemical engineering simulation software UNIF-DMD method simulation from each single tower to the entire process, the results showed that:the simulation results consistent with the actual value, indicating that the UNIF-DMD method simulation the process as practicable, as the design principles can be refined SBA process as DCS distributed control system.
