Jacketed structure equipment is common chemical structure in the chemicalindustry. Due to its medium is corrosive, that will cause the jacketed structureequipment to leak. When jacketed structure inner pipe leaks, conventional detectionmethods need to suspend production, it will cause huge economic loss. While acousticemission testing technology can test equipments dynamically and integrally, thisfeature is suitable for jacketed structure equipment on-line detection, which can avoidshuting off of the plant. Based on characteristics and requirements of the jacketedstructure inner pipe leakage testing, this paper applied acoustic emission testingtechnology to jacketed structure in the study of the inner pipe leakage detection. Themain contents include:1. The analysis of Jacketed structure inner pipe leakage flow noise generatingmechanism and acoustic properties.According to pneumatic acoustics theory and fluid mechanics disciplineknowledge, the sound mechanism of jacket structure inner pipe leakage and soundsource characteristics are analyzed, it is concluded that the jet noise sound pressurelevel and its frequency spectrum. Jacketed structure inner pipe leakage source typesare analyzed under different medium of the outer tube jacketed structure(gas or liquid).All of these analysis provides theoretical basis for experimental research andcomparative analysis.2. Establishing jacketed structure inner pipe leakage acoustic emission detectionsystem and carrying out experimental study.On the experimental research, the jacketed structure inner pipe leakage acousticemission detection system is established in the laboratory. Through change theexperimental conditions (such as the inner pipe clamp pressure, propagation distance,medium in the jacket, the inner and outer tube distance), the acoustic emission signalschanging rule is achieved on jacketed structure and structure without jacket duringinner pipe leaking.3. Using modern signal processing software to recognize the acoustic emissionsignal and carry out the signals analysis.Under applying modern signal processing method, through the parameteranalysis and spectrum analysis methods, the features of the acoustic emission signals are analyzed.The research achievements in this paper will provide theoretical andexperimental data to jacketed structure inner pipe leakage detection in the field.
