With the actual demands for using and repairing the extensively applied wireless MWD(MWD/LWD) equipments in the oil drilling project, this thesis designs a ground loop simulationand test system. The working pressure of the circulating fluid system can be stabilized at3.0MPa,the maximum working flow can be stabilized over35L/s (126m3/h), the system can be usedfor simulation and test of less than8-inch wireless MWD. Currently, its basic functions havebeen implemented, and the system has been applied to the actual test work.The PID controller is employed as the system controller which controls the operatingparameters and works as a data acquisition, the circulating fluid system provides instantaneousflow data from the turbine flow meter, a pressure transducer provides the circulating fluidpressure parameter of the system, a V-type electronic motor controls and regulates the valveactuators, with these equipment, the circulating fluid flow and pressure of the test systems arestably regulated.At the beginning of the thesis, a variety of specifications of the widely used MWD/LWDequipments are analyzed in details, according to the actual demands of the equipment, functionsof the system are fully discussed, the basic operating parameters and structure of the system arecarried out after comparative analysis. After careful analysis, the expected parameters of thesystem are determined, the simple practical solutions are proposed for the actual problems in thecontrol logic design. The thesis also discusses the specific implementation process such as thenecessary equipment selection, installation and commissioning of the design.In this paper, the control system design which is used to test the state of the initial workingparameters, uses a simple unique program, with just three resistors assist, no special controlcircuit are needed, the accurate control of the initial valve opening degree can be achieved by thesystem controller PID adjustment.The MWD/LWD equipment terrestrial analog loop test system is the firstly proposed andpractical applicable system in the country, only the reference [9] presents a similar system whichwas constructed to study the design for drill collar fluid pressure pulse propagationcharacteristics.
