Cereal protein wastewater is generated during the production of grain protein, usingsoybean, wheat, corn and other cereals as main raw material. Such sewage mainly comesfrom the production plant, sewage cleaning equipment and living quarters, and it havecharacteristics of high organic concentration, Large fluctuations in water quality. Directdischarging around water bodies would have serious pollution. The main topic of researchis using anaerobic and aerobic biological treatment processes for cereal protein wastewatertreatment to meet emissions standards. The main contents and results are as follows:(1) UASB anaerobic process was used for treatment of cereal protein wastewater inlaboratory text. Under medium temperature, sludge was acclimated by gradually increasinginfluent load, until the raw water load, effluent COD concentration was about800mg/L,the COD removal rate remained at around85%.(2) Impact of the hydraulic retention time on UASB system are studied throughchanges in water flow to change HRT. The results showed, the removal rate reduced withreducing of hydraulic retention time; When HRT was more than24h, organic matter in thewastewater got highly efficient and stable removal by UASB system, the COD removalrate was more than84%; When HRT reduced to18h, water quality deteriorate, the removalrate dropped to72%; When HRT reduced to12h, the reactor occurred acidification.(3) Buffer capacity of UASB system on the influent pH value change are studied bychanging the influent pH value. The results showed that, when the influent pH value wasabove6.5, the removal rate of the reactor was better; when the influent pH value droppedto5.5, the removal rate decreased slightly to about75%, The reactor could still be stablerunning; when the influent pH value decreased to4.5, the reactor occurred acidification.(4) SBR aerobic process was used for treatment of Cereal protein wastewateranaerobic effluent, research results showed that, The SBR system on COD and ammonia ofcereal protein wastewater anaerobic effluent has good removal effect, after runningstability, the effluent COD concentration was below99mg/L, the COD removal rateremained at around89%; effluent ammonia concentration was about10mg/L, the removalrate was more than91%.(5) IC-AO was used by engineering practice as the main process to treat cereal proteinwastewater, and got a good removal effect, The effluent could reach the primary standardof “Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard”(GB8978-1996). Practice showed that: ICanaerobic reactor had excellent resistance to shock loading ability to adapt to changes inwater quality and quantity fluctuations, and the COD removal rate could reach about85%;A/O system got a good treatment on cereal protein wastewater anaerobic effluent, Theeffluent COD could be stabilized below100mg/L, the COD removal rate was about90%,the effluent ammonia was about15mg/L, the ammonia removal rate reached more than90%.Keyword:cereal protein wastewater,UASB, SBR, IC, AO...
