Currently, as the improving of exploration and development of oil and gas resources inthe world, the carbonate reservoir has become the focus. The development of carbonate mediamainly depends on the impact of secondary diagenesis, which makes its complexity andheterogeneity are much stronger than clastic media, so the research of carbonates media ismore difficult. The study of microscopic flow in carbonates media using digital coretechnology is a preliminary try in this area. The carbonate media contains bedrock system andfracture system. In the study of microscopic flow in the bedrock system, first of all, based onthe analysis of the scanning electron microscope image from the real core, digital core isreconstructed using Markov Chain Monte Carlo method; Then, the pore network model isextracted from the digital core using the medial axis analysis; And then the structurecharacteristics including geometry characteristics and topology characteristics are analyzed; Finally, the absolute permeability, relative permeability, capillary pressure and distribution ofoil saturation are predicted by flow simulation. For the fracture system, based on five basicassumptions, pore network model of fracture is built; Taking the diversity of fracturemorphology into account, fracture morphology is divided into straight plane, inclined planeand paraboloid; Finally, the structure characteristics and flow characteristics of fracturesystem are analyzed. The pore network model of carbonate media is gained by the integrationmethod of bedrock pore network model and fracture pore network model based on the fivebasic principles of integration. Through comparation, the following conclusions are got: thepore network models of carbonate media by the integration of different fracture morphologyare basically the same in structure characteristics and flow characteristics, but the porenetwork models of carbonate media by the integration of different fracture number have manydifferences. In addition, visualization method of the pore network model, the pore network model got by integration and the distribution of oil saturation is proposed based on four basicassumptions. Finally, for the convenience of the study, the Microcosmic Flow in CarbonateMedia software which contains the whole process of this study is compiled.
