MOFs are formed byself-assembly procedures of organic ligands and metal ions. Assembly ofchiral ligands with metal ions gives chiral MOFs, which may boast uniquechiral pores or chiral active sites and thereby show great potential in thefields of chiral separation, asymmetric catalysis and chiral reorganization.Chiral chromatography is a combination of chromatographytechnology and chiral separation technology, which has been a hot point inthe field of separation science. Recent researches on applying chiral MOFsto chiral gas chromatography have drawn much attention.Herein, two chiral N-methyl substituted salan ligands weresynthesized and used to construct three novel chiral MOFs. Single crystalX-ray diffraction along with elemental analyses, IR, TGA and PXRDexperiments were conducted to unveil their structure and basic propertiesTheir liquid phase chiral separation and chiral gas chromatographicseparation properties were examined. This thesis includes two main points.[1] A C2-symmetric N-methyl substituted chiral salan ligand H2L1wasprepared within several steps. Self-assembly procedure of H2L1and Cd(II)cation gave a chiral MOFs (1) of three interpenetrated3D frameworks. Thegeometry of such N-methyl salan ligands in MOFs was discussed.[2] A C2-symmetric N-methyl substituted salan ligand H2L2wasprepared within six steps. Self-assembly procedure of H2L2and Cd(II)cation under two different conditions give two different MOFs2and3.Their separation properties were surveyed.2could be used to resolve racemic amines and alcohols by liquid phase adsorption separation with upto47.5%ee.2and3were also used to prepare chiral porous layer opentubular GC column, which provide up to1.38selectivity. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | chiral metal-organic framework, salan, chiral separation, chiral gas chromatography | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
