In the machining process of golden jewelry chain, surface engraving is the lastand most important step. Processing success rate directly affect the cost of wholechain,and the surface quality is the core of the chain’s beauty. At present, most of thedomestic jewelry processing enterprises mainly adopt manual engraving processingmethod, which uses simple equipment and lead to low qualified rate. Product qualitydepends entirely on the technical level of workers, so it is hard to guarantee theconsistency of the product, which is not conducive to the standardization of industry.In view of this, this subject develops a set of seven axis of engraving machine basedon open CNC(computer numerical control) system. These main research results ofthis subject are as follows:According to the processing requirements of surface polish&brush of goldenjewelry chain, make overall architecture scheme design of mechanical system of thepolish&brush machine. In accordance with the requirements o f mechanical structure,adopt the form of motion control which is based on “industrial computer (IPC)+motion control cards” to complete the hardware structure system design of controlsystem.Based on open NC system, we complete the development of upper computersoftware platform for the seven axis engraving machine. This article takes advantageof the hierarchical design method to achieve the design of the software logical control.By the VC++platform, set up reasonable and simple human-computer interactioninterface on the upper of software, while on the underlying of software, call libraryfunctions provided by the motion control cards and transfer motion controlinformation by functions to realize digital control of machine toolsDevelop the G code compiler based on open NC system. The compiler is theinformation interaction platform between G code which is a NC general programminglanguage and machine tool. Its reliability and generality is the important indicator ofNC system performance. This article develops G code compiler suitable for themachine tool by the use of regular expression in VC++platform. And make detaileddesigns of the functions of code reading, identifying, error, storing and transferring,etc. The research of interpolation algorithm of machining based on ellipsoid surfacespiral. This article make interpolation shaft of base ellipse as drive shaft, and otheraxis as the driven shaft, design a interpolation algorithm of ellipsoid surface spiralbased on equal arc length time segmentation algorithm, which can quickly completethe machining of ellipsoid surface spiral, and surface brightness meet requirements.This paper developed a gold-plated chain jewelry surface engraving machine,completed the design and development of hardware and software systems work. Andcomplete equipment for assembly and debugging, and ultimately achieve processingrequirements.
