Glabridin (denoted as GD) is a natural whitening agent and polyphenolic flavonoidin Glycyrrhiza glabraL. Therefore, high efficient separation and purification technology is a key of extraction natural activeingredients from Glycyrrhiza glabra. The feasibility of using supported ionic liquid membranes (denoted asSILM) to extract GD were studied, the effect of different basic and hydrophobic ionic liquids (denoted asILs) were examined, and researched the mechanism by using the quantum chemical. The results were asfollows:The extraction of glabridin from Glycyrrhiza glabra L using the basic and hydrophobicity ofimidazolium-based ionic liquids (ILs) were studied. The results showed that the glabridin extractionefficiency increased with increasing basic and hydrophobicity of ionic liquid. The extraction efficiency ofglabridin was greatly affected by the basic of ionic liquids anion. The hydrophobicity ionic liquids withbasic anion exhibited perspective extraction performance. The extraction efficiency of glabridin was87.27%using [Hmim][N(CN)2] as extraction solvent.According to the study,[Hmim][NTf2] as membrane solvent and PVDF membrane as bottom filmspreparated supported liquid membrane by pressure. The aim of article is to sure about the practicality ofSILM separation process in GD separation and purification, and process conditions including speed, porediameter, stripping concentration and concentration of raw materials were studied. The extractionefficiency and recovery rates of glabridin are85.65%and85.29%, after20hours, under the optimalconditions of0.22μm pore diameter,260rpm speed,0.25mg/mL GD concentration of raw liquid,0.1mol/L NaOH concentration of stripping side. The results showed that Glabridin extraction by using SILMwas feasible. Also using Gaussian09and based on the density function theory method at the level ofB3LYP/6-311+(g, d), optimization and simulation on GD, the anions monomer of ionic liquid (such as[OAc]-,[BF-4],[PF6]-,[NTf2]-), the cation monomer of ionic liquid (such as [Bmim]+,[Hmim]+and[Omim]+), and GD-ionics complexes. It found that they all exists Hydrogen bonds between GD and anioncomplexes and cationic complexes of the ionic liquid, hydrogen bonding between GD and the anion wassignificantly stronger than hydrogen bonding between GD and cations, which was the main force.
